No kidding! We don't see it in ourselves but yes it is extremely noticeable. Congrats! Keep it up!

Thank you so much, it means a lot! I am working on liking my pic being taken, but seeing these two pic's together is making it a little easier. I was so nerves posting these pic's of myself, but I really wanted to show pre-op people that this tool we are given is a true blessing and works!

Hugs Dee

I had my husband take lots of pics of me - including full body shots from all four sides - the night before surgery and then every month on my surgery date until I reached maintenance. Although the first couple of months I dreaded it, I am SO GLAD I have all those now. It was motivating to see how far I'd come on days I was starting to feel discouraged, and I'm so glad now that I have my journey documented so well.

Hey Dee,

Yeah, totally!! There is a big difference!! Congratulations. Clearly your efforts are paying off. I remember the first time I pulled out a pre-surgery picture of me. I was at a WLS get together, and other folks were, so I did too... and I said "I don't think there's much difference." Then, we looked at the pic, and bam! It was the first time I noticed loss on me.

Pics are such a great way to see results. And yours are clear too. Keep up the great work!!

Thank you so much! That 1st pic was from a wedding, that I tried to hide from the camera's, HATED my pic being taken! Then my daughter said to me Mom I think it's time we take a new pic of your progress. Needless to say NO was the 1st answer lol. So my daughter said lets take a pic put it up against an old one so you can see what we see. I was shocked to see the difference in my face, because even tho I have gone down a whole size in clothes it doesn't look like it to me because I am still very swollen in the upper abdomen area where my 5 incision are. I even had an ultrasound done to make sure I have no hernias. I was told everything looked good ( liver and kidneys ) but my Gallbladder showed some sludge and some gallstones so I will find out more this Monday about what were going to do about the Gallbladder.

We really do see ourselves differently; I totally get it! I'm glad your daughter pushed. It sounds like you have great support. :)

Good luck with your gallbladder. I hope it's resolved soon. ((Hugs))

Thank you very much, I agree the 1st pic I wasn't happy about getting my pic taken at all lol. It was a wedding I tried so hard to stay away from the camera's that day lol, but we all know at a wedding it's hard everyone has a camera. Now that I have lost weight I am a little more comfortable with my pic being taken, BUT still working on it lol.
