i was just booked for my OTN "meet the surgeon" appointment for tomorrow. The only real questions I have for him are if I'll be cathetrised during surgery. What the pre-op opti Diet is like (some people have said they were allowed veggies and salad during opti some weren't)

what did you ask your surgeon at this appointment?

Yay @ meeting the surgeon tomorrow!!!

I didn't have any questions. Lol. I found the pre-admission super helpful when I met the anesthesiologist. I learned tons there... but everyone is different and every process is different. I'm sure others will chime in with good questions for you. :)

Appointment with the surgeon is to discuss your very specific health conditions and even your medications. General questions can get answered by anyone. This is the time to use your specific situation and make sure that you are clear on what medications you are to stop /start after surgery

Congratulations Anncha! This is awesome. How weird is it that I was just thinking of you earlier today wondering if you had any news for your date yet? Congratulations again and fingers crossed for a quick surgery date. As always keep us posted and let us know how your OTN appointment goes! So Happy for you.

Thank you! I'm super excited (It's Dr Sullivan at St. Joe's). I'll ask him tomorrow for more of an idea of dates for surgery. After this it'll be the only time I don't want it to happen right away lol I'm going to Washington DC next week for work for 5 days, back a week then going to the UK for 10 days with the kids (first time in nearly 4yrs).

If the scheduler is right it'll be early to mid March for the surgery. I keep thinking I might have lost enough weight to not feel like I'm dying in the summer :D

I'm excited for me but I know it'll be quick for you once you get your 1-1's out of the way.

Yay... You will be in my thoughts this morning hoping everything goes perfectly. And fingers crossed that when you get a date it will be exactly when it works best for you.

I looked up Dr. Sullivan and looks like he has great reviews on RateMD!

As for me... Just hoping I can get my one on one's moved up sooner than July.

Thank you for your well wishes. I really do appreciate it. I had a look at him on RateMD yesterday and he does have really great reviews.

It would be so much easier to move things if they ever answered the bloody phone! I remember you said you work in the same building? Why don't you pop in to the centre a couple of times a week and make a nuisance of yourself? :)
