Update!!
I sit in my hospital room enjoying my breakfast. Who knew how good Jello would taste after so much Opti and then water yesterday.
I've had remarkably little pain, perhaps a 2 at most. Tylenol by mouth has been no trouble.
Surgery was textbook although they told my husband they pumped me with double the gas to check for leaks. I had one bout of nausea the first time I got up but that resolved quickly. Water goes down like a dream but I do wi**** would help with the dryness in my mouth. Fortunately, I did bring biotene.

Sounds like things went well, you'll be going home today probably, I was only in for 21 hours after my surgery, would have been less but had to wait for my husband to get back into town to pick me up.
Rest, walk, sip, when you get home and don't weigh yourself for a week, wait till all the swelling bloating goes down.

I stayed two nights too, even though everything was textbook. It's common practice. You'll go home tomorrow. :)

Gee they must have been short beds when I was in, I had my surgery at 2 in the afternoon, all my incisions had sealed, they did my bloodwork at 6 in the morning and would have kicked be out by 9 but I had to wait for someone to come and get me as I hadn't expected to go home the next day, the woman in the bed beside me had her surgery at 8 the previous morning and they sent her home too.
