    I live on PEI and had heard that they cover bypass surgery fully. But I haven't heard if they cover lap band surgery. I had called the health ministers office trying to find out. But all I got was a message back saying they have two numbers to nutritious. But nothing else so I have no clue. I thought atleast the health ministers office could help me by either telling what I needed to do, or sending me in the right direction. So now I have no idea who to contact or what my next steps should be. Any advice or help will be greatly appreicated.

    Well just to update...I called the PEI out of province coordinator. She said that Bypass surgery is covered fully so is the sleeve. As for lap band they only cover about 2000 dollars which means 4500 out of pocket expense. That does not  include any other expense that could occur.  But the coordinator did say they are hoping to get the lapband covered to in the furture.
