Does anybody go to the bathroom for a number 2 and bleed sometimes ?

if it is bright red it is probally hemmoroids  but  tell your dr.   I take mirilax  to try to keep the stools soft.  

Yes, and sometimes with gelatinous bits on the stool...but I have Diverticulitis, and when I have pain in the left side ( like appendicitis but on the wrong side) I know I am having a flare-up and run the risk of blockage or a burst colon/intestine, so have to go on a week of Ciprofloxacin 500 mg ( strong antibiotic) to take care of the infection.or the pain will escalate with increased cramping and bloating and sharp knife-like stabs and bloody stools...If you have any of these symptoms, you should be seeing a doctor..Blood from your anus is not normal under any cir****tances  and if just hemorrhoids, they too can be treated.
