Hi Jennifer - Please don't be petrified, just be prepared. Read as much as you can about the surgery and the do's and don'ts. Most of all listen to your Surgeon and Dietician. As I am sure you have read, everybody is different. Just take it nice and slow, listen to your body. Get your liquids in as much as possible so you don't dehydrate. Try to get as much protein as possible each day but don't get aggravated if you don't at first, I had to work up to it. It has taken me 6 weeks to get all protein for the day. It's important but don't stress about it because you and your body will need time to heal and for you to get use to all of the changes. I was both scared and excited at the same time. My doctor made me feel less scared and I was very confident he knew what he was doing. So relax as much as you possibly can, I know that is easy to say. Please let me know how the surgery went and may God Bless you!!! Debbie
