Maintenance help

I am going on 8 1/2 months post op.... When I had my 6mon appt my doc said... Congratulations you're there.. Now time for maintenance.... Suggested I started eating more often... Drinking with my meals... Higher calorie meals as tolerated.... I have done all of these things and I have still manage to drop another 10lbs.... While I'm extactic with my weight loss, now I'm concerned about the am I losin to much.. Will it stop?? I know as time goes by and my system becomes more accustomed to this I wil have to be concerned with what I eat... How I eat... How I excerise.. But in the mean time how do I get it to stop??? Any suggestions greatly appreciated...

Are you at your goal weight?

I'm concerned that your doctor told you to drink with meals.  That is a great way to help yourself overeat and cause regain.

How many calories do you get in a typical day?  Can you add in an extra snack?  Or a protein shake?  Protein shakes are an easier way to increase your calories - it's easy to make a shake with 200 or 250 calories.

Agreed with the drinking. You should never drink and eat at the same time.....When reading posts here on OH, one of the most common factors in regain (from what I understand) is that people are drinking while they eat. There is a great video on you tube that explains this phenominom (I think that it is from "formerly fat dudes" or something.like that).

How tall are you? I'd guess for 99% of us it does stop (and then goes back up). Add more good food, but be careful. After the honeymoon is over you will absorb all the calories you eat. right now you are not. DO NOT drink with your meals. This is crazy advice!!!

5'3.... Drinking with my meals has not effected how much I can eat.. I can still only take in 4 to 6 oz at a time ... On rare occasions maybe more.... And I think tgat was her point about drinking while I eat.... But I'm not aging at this point and Im still losing....
