Celtie's having another surgery!
I don't have experience with that particular procedure, however I did want to wish you the very best results and a smooth recovery. I hope this helps with the many problems you've had.

Hi Celtie. I have never had one myself but I have taken care of plenty of people with one. It is a very simple device. Basically liquid food and water are just "poured in" using an infusion pump or by gravity. Medications can be crushed and put in there too if needed. It is easily reversible once you are taking in nutrition by mouth. I understand you are afraid but try not to be. Please keep us updated when you can. Thinking of you.

Hi Celtie,
I currently have a g tube that was placed a month ago. I was also scared before it was placed but it really has made a difference.
Best wishes with your upcoming procedure.
Celtie, glad you got some reassurances.
“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack
