1 Year Appointment
So, I had my one year appointment by phone today, as I moved and live 3 hours from my surgeon. They were very happy with my weight loss. I went from a BMI of 62.8 to 36.6. I went from a size 64 waits pants to a size 44 pants. My total weight loss to date is 193lbs, which is almost 63% of my excess weight.
I was told that my goal of 210lbs is a perfect goal for me, as it would put me at a 28BMI, which they consider to be normal, even though the charts still list it as overweight. They believe men should be between 22-28.
They told me not to get discouraged the my weight loss would vastly slow down at this point, and be happy that it might take me another year to get to goal. I believe that it will happen sooner, but at least I won't have to stress about the scale not moving.
For all you newbies. Just stick to the plan and you will be posting amazing results like this before you know it.

Good to hear.
I was 440 when I did my first visit with the surgeon and was 336 at pre-op. I am 10 weeks post-op tomorrow and am down about 60.
I know there is still a long road ahead, but I am enjoying the journey so far.
Good to hear from someone that was around my size and see just how far you have come.
I have mentally set a goal of 225, but we shall see as I continue in this journey.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Awesome job Jeffery! I am amazed that a year had gone by so quickly and you will too. Focus on your protein, water, and vitamins. The scale will move whether you get on it or not, and quite frankly got tired of getting frustrated in those weeks that I did not see it moving, so try to stay off of it if you can.
Look forward to hearing great things from you.
