Heartburn 2 years post-op RNY?

The past few nights I have been waking up with the sensation of heartburn. Prior to surgery I had it pretty bad due to a hiatal hernia, but had this taken care of with the RNY. I have no clue why, as I have not really changed anything like what I eat or drink for the past 6 months. The odd thing is I only notice it when I wake up, not when I eat or after I eat. Anyone else come across something similar?

For long time I had to take daily dose of Omeprozole for acid reflux after RNY.

Best way to to check with the doc. You r hernia may be back or you may be eating too late before you go to sleep. The food stays in the pouch and is causing acid.
