My alien stomach

I am still having the strangest sensations in my stomach! I figured by now it would have chilled out but everything feels different in there and it doesn't matter what I eat. I always "feel" something going on in there. Does anyone else have this issue or am I just crazy? when I mentioned it at my last appointment the nurse kind of giggled at me, so I figured it was no biggie. But I'm a 41 days now and just assumed it would feel normal again by now. Is this wrong?

Thanks,

Rosey

same thing.  My stomach hasn't talked in 25 years and all of a sudden now it won't shut up.  Even drinking fluids it becomes Chatty Cathy.  Dr. just laughed and said it should calm down about my 6 months mark. I'm only 4 weeks out and it is very strange.

Yup! Everything is strange now.

So weird isn't it?

Wow! So I guess this is a normal thing then. Thanks for jumping in everyone :)  I guess I'm gonna look forward to the 6 month milestone, I just know sometimes my stomach "talks" and churns so much I have trouble going to sleep!! LOL!!

Its not just noise for me, it actually feels like all my processes are twisted around in different places LOL like where my drink and food used to go straight down under my chest, now it goes off to the right instead. Just weird stuff like that, feels crazy in there!

The noises are actually from your intestines not your pouch or your remnant stomach. Sometimes it calms down a bit as time passes, but for many of us it is a permanent reaction to the bypass.  Mine is a lot better than it used to be, but occasionally there is still a lot of gurgling, etc. going on.

I am almost 7 years out and when I drink something very cold or hot fairly quickly, it occasionally STILL surprises me when I feel it travel down to the right.  Yes, it feels different, but you will get used to it (well, for the most part, anyway!)

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
