Good morning all!  How is everyone faring this cloudy morning?  I am currently staring at a pile of vitamins that I don't feel like taking.  Some days are harder than others, amirite?  LOL  I'm also experiencing a little gastritis, so there's a famotidine in the pile, too.  I don't get that weird empty feeling often, but I'm prepared for when I do.

My menu's kind of a mess, because as per the norm, I need to go grocery shopping.  I'm also super pissed because my husband ate the last 3 of my Babybels last night.  3 of them.  At once.  Jerk.  There was a perfectly good bag of tortilla chips sitting out and salsa in the fridge, but nooooo, he eats my cheese.

Time since surgery:  1 year

B:  coffee, HB egg and some turkey pepperoni

S:  Luna chocolate chip cookie dough protein bar

L:  Some crazy crab salad I threw together last night with 34 degree rosemary crackers

D:  2 turkey cheddar brats and some roasted summer squash

TOTALS:  Cals:  829  Protein:  64 (boo)  Carbs:  58  Fat:  38

That happens at my house ALL THE TIME!!  With a hubby and 4 kids....I have to hide anything I dont want them to eat!  I buy healthy snacks for them, and sometimes chips and dip or whatever it is they are "craving".  But COME ON....leave my food staples alone!  If its the ONLY Baybel left....LEAVE IT ALONE!! hahah

I have never been a big fan of cooked carrots before WLS. They were okay, nothing special. But ever since surgery, they are scrumptious!!!! I think this weekend, I may have to do a crockpot roast... it sounds so good!!!

By the way, your carbs are outstanding!!!

Highest weight - 440 lbs, Surgery weight - 395 lbs, Current weight - 291 lbs.

I actually HATE cooked carrots.....I LOVE them raw and will eat them roasted.  But I know I need to work on not eating JUST protein! LOL  So I am going to eat them and try to enjoy! HAHAH

I started doing really low carb when I entered my program about 8 months before surgery.  I am so used to it now.....

No problem!  I really like the boost of protein and the less sugar :)

Good morning,

I almost forgot, yesterday was my 3 month surgiversary!  I've lost a total of 44 lbs since surgery, wi**** was more, but that dang umbilical hernia threw everything off at first.  I do feel 100% better now that's over with.

My hospital has local support group in my area, last night was the first time I went.  They had a couple of trainers from the Y who led us through a couple of rounds of circuit training.  I loved it.  I would seriously love to join the Y, but the family membership is kind of pricey.  I may just get a single membership for now.

AV, I have to hide my babybels and laughing cow from my daughter or there are none left.  She's gotten a bit better about not taking the last one or two.  I don't mind if she chooses them for a snack, but never leave me without mine.  It's a good thing she doesn't like my "Mary's gone Crackers" .

B:  Jay Robb Protein Powder Shake

L:  Basically chicken ceasar salad w/lowfat ceasar dressing.  Had this for dinner last night.

D:  Turkey burger w/lettuce wrap, tomato & 1 tsp organic lowfat ketchup

S:  6 Mary's Gone Crackers w/ laughing cow wedge

Cals:  673   Carbs: 45  Fat: 27   Protein: 90  Sugars:  32

V&W Started

Exercise:  Walking (1 mile this a.m.  will do another tonight)
