Well today is the first day I am starting my Bariatric Advantage Chewable Calcium, I bought the huge container of Mint flavor because I usually can't stand fruit flavored chewable, I have had to use peppermint tums for a long time and they are fine, but Good Lord how am I going to eat these 3 times a day!! Huge and chalky and stick in your teeth!!! Why do we have to do chewable I would rather swallow the pills! I can't afford the chewy ones at this point or I would totally go that route! Does anyone have a suggestion on how to choke these down any easier? Anyone that can offer me suggestions of something better That's affordable I am open to that!

I use the cherry flavored ones from Bariatric Advantage, and at first they were quite a chore to get down - so sour!  And chalky... I have to be careful when I pop them in my mouth not to breathe in at the same time because the powder from them makes me cough and choke.

But maybe they're an acquired taste, because I'm used to them now.  Even look forward to them.  The sweet aftertaste (once you get past the chalky part) is kinda good, even though they do stick to my teeth, too.

I loved the Bariatric Chews (Chocolate Peanut Butter was my fav), but the calories added up too much.  Especially the cheaper 250's.  I think there were 30 cals in the 250's and with 6 a day, that's as much as an entire meal.  So, although I loved them, I chose to replace them with the chalky ones.

Hope you get used to them like I did.  I actually enjoy them now.

I was having problems keeping any of the supplements down; I asked my surgeon about the vitamin patches that people talk about here.  He took a couple of days and told me that he thought it would be worth it for me to try them.   http://www.patchmd.com/ is the website. They have a patch that is Calcium with Vitamin D, there is also calcium in the multivitamin patch.  I've had lab drawn twice now since I've been using the patches and my values are right where my surgeon wants them to be.  It's much easier to put a patch on each morning and take it off before bed than choking down those chewables and then getting sick.  There is usually a coupon code floating around this webpage; right now it is OMEGA3.  The coupon is for 40% off your total order and is good until April 30, 2016.  I live in Alaska and it only took a week for my order to reach me.  Also the patches are small, like 1in by 1in square.  Good luck finding something that works for you!

I cannot stand those. In fact I have a 270 count tub of chocolate that has been siting around my apartment because I cannot choke them down. Celebrate makes a similar product that is 1,000 times better. Berries and cream is my favorite, but a certain vet on this site will probably tell you that orange is the best. Either way, you can't go wrong.
