You should lose on 1,000 calories. I was wondering if you had a scope done to ensure your anastomosis is not stretched out . How far out are you ? I'm no veteran but have seen on here numerous times that after the first few years the malabsorption of calories is gone and that is when the real work begins.

Most insurances have a one WLS per lifetime clause.  The only way around that is if you have a mechanical failure of the original surgery (like  a fistula, or erosion from a band).  Revisions are complicated and often times dangerous and require an expert surgeon to do one correctly.

No surgery in the world will work for you if you don't follow the rules.  The truth is, the surgery was never meant to do all the work.  Any surgery can be "eaten around".  If you don't address the reasons why you regained there is no point in getting a revision.

The good news is if there is nothing wrong with your pouch you can still lose the regain by getting back to basics.

No drinking with meals or for 30 minutes after.

Protein first, then veggies if there is room.

Limit fruit to one serving per day (and a serving is 1/2 an apple or 3-4 strawberries).

No starchy or simple carbohydrates like bread, pasta, rice, sugar, crackers, potatoes, etc.

Measure every bite!  You should never eat more than 1 to 1 1/2 cups of food per serving.  Train yourself to be satisfied with what you measure and then stop eating. If you eat a very small (200 to 300 calorie) meal every 3 or 4 hours your blood sugar will be stable.

You need to ignore the urge to graze.  Hunger is NOT AN EMERGENCY.  You can allow yourself to feel hunger.  Nothing bad will happen to you.  Many of us use that full sensation as an emotional crutch.  If you eat until you feel full, you've eaten too much. Grazing and eating until you feel full are the biggest reason for regain.

I can't trust my self to stop eating when I feel full.  I am a food addict.  I will over eat at every single meal and gain weight.  For this reason I still measure my food ( even at 6 years out from RNY).

Get back on the wagon!  You can do this!!!!
