Pre-op diet is horrific!

Today is my 5th day of 14.  I thought the first day was bad.  Today was the worst.  I have no energy and I'm finding it hard to get anything done.  Any thoughts?

Been there ;).  I am five weeks post-op today.  You haven't begun to experience tired!  The great news:  I am feeling so much better suddenly.  And 41 pounds down.  No diet in my 40-year history did that.  Good luck!  9 more days...

I'm five weeks also. Do you have any problems throwing up after eating?  I might be having a problem. Thanks

I have not had any trouble with that... one time I ate too much and it came right back at me ;0.

I would suggest thst maybe you ate too fast, did not chew enough, or it was too dense?  Meat still gives me trouble.  Eating too fast, definitely.  Drinking water too close to mealtime, also.  The smell of some things (especially tuna) is just gross and makes me a little nauseous

Yeah I dealt with a bit of low energy. My pre op was 3 weeks, liquids only. And it took me about a week and half before I really felt like ketosis set in, and things got easier. Are you getting in all your shakes? That makes a huge difference. 

Im 5 weeks post op, and still have tired days. But definitely have way more energy now that I'm down 55 pounds.

keep at it, it gets better!

I have no energy.  I'm protein shakes (4 a day) and raw veggies only.  Yes, I get all of the shakes in.  I'm not quitting.  

Congrats on the 55 pounds!  That will make me feel good again.

Veggies? Blech. That crap will kill you. You know those things grow on the ground, right? My food does all kinds of bad things on your food.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
