Good Morning Menu Crew! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! As today is traditionally a day to celebrate love I would like to celebrate all of you and tell you how much you all mean to me and the support, guidance, laughs and friendships, love my OH Family   

QOTD: Cut me some slack today... I am going "easy" on the question today... So what do you do for Valentines Day?  I think I told you all that hubby and I went on our first date (a Toronto Raptors NBA Basketball game for my Canadian peeps) on Valentines Day so we "Celebrate" today as our anniversary, we always have, so Happy 17 year Anniversary to me and my boo today   We have a fav steak restaurant we love to go to (The Keg for my Canadian pals) and we don't necessarily go on VDay b/c the crowds to get in on VDay are crazy and a lot of places raise their prices so we just pick a random day we want and go out for steak.  We don't do gifts either, hubby spoils me all the time so we don't need a "day" to "celebrate." We might go this Saturday to The Keg for our steak because we are super busy between now and June (baby showers, Mhendi's, Weddings, bday parties).  As well I suspect my Mom will be having surgery soon in the next few weeks so will need to be with her when that happens.

Here is a bacon "Rose" for each of you! 


Time since surgery: 3 yrs + 2 months

B: 3 babybel swiss

L: tuna/bell pepper/balsamic dressing

S: 2 babybel swiss

D: 6 Longo's Oven roasted turkey breast slices rolled with Swiss cheese + honey mustard 

S: Liberte Greek Vanilla Yogurt + 1 cup of cantaloupe sprinkled with cinnamon

TOTALS: 938 calories, 109 protein, 39 carbs

V: PatchMD vitamin patches are on (multi, iron, B12, Vit D & Calcium

L: coffee ALL DAY & water with SF cran mixed in all day

E: 5km walk at lunch & 5km hike in the snow with the dogs after work

QOTD: DH and I are going out to dinner tomorrow night - all the good places were fully booked a couple of weeks ago (this may be new annual plan as it relieves so many problems with reservations, crowds, planning ahead). I found a highly rated place on the water we are going to try. Oh, and I'm wearing a new red dress, so possibly there will be pics later (I haven't worn a red dress in just about forever).

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese, English muffins and peanut butter

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Leftover veal parm and broccoli from restaurant on Sunday - there is enough broccoli there for both me and DH

S: nut thins and hummus, protein bar

Can't wait to see pictures of the dress later. Bright colors especially reds and purples are what I love about being thinner. One of the first items my hubby bought me after I lost weight was a leather jacket. I was trying on the black one and sales lady said,"you're so tiny you need to try on the red one too. It was hubby's favorite so he bought it and I wear it proudly. We've all come so far and really deserve our moments to shine,don't we?

Yes we do!!! And I too, can't wait to see the dress!

I make myself try on brighter things, because I used to love them.... and I've noticed my closet is seriously lacking in black clothes these days!

Happy Valentines Day Daisy and Menu gang!!

QOTD: We usually spend the day quietly and at home. I try to make a special meal and still give the boys some sweets. I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers last night. I saw a video on FB with directions on making those Bacon roses!!!  Happy #17 Daisy and Hubby!!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone and Happy Anniversary, to my two favorite Canadians! 

I'm on the train heading into work for the first time since last Wednesday. Felt like a month off! I'm totally rested and caught up (maybe even a little ahead?) on work :) I'm working from 7:30 - 3 today, then my Valentine is picking me up in the city, and we're going to go see Casablanca and then go out to eat a steak. Movies and meat. It's what we do! Lol.

I'm hoping the age-old adage that calories don't count on Valentine's Day is true. I started the day with 1/2 of a homemade biscuit and cinnamon honey butter and I predict there will be chocolate and popcorn in my future, too... the rest of the day, I'll behave. Egg bite; Greek yogurt with Chia seeds and blueberries; cheese; carrots; and steak!

Hi everyone,

QOTD:  we are just going to try to survive another day on this liquid diet!

Yesterday was fine until after work when I was home, then it really really sucked.  I stuck to my plan  but did add soup in the evening.  I feel much better (less hungry) this morning so I am hopeful!

Menu: (day 2 liquid diet)

B- protein shake made as hot chocolate

S- SF jello

S-  protein broccoli soup

L- protein shake 

S- SF jello

S- SF popsicle 

D-  Chicken protein shake or chicken broth

Sorry I wasn't more active yesterday.  Might be that way until I feel more comfortable with this liquid diet....I don't want to be reading all the yummy menus lol
