Morning Menu Crew! How is everyone? I am good, tired but good, not sleeping so great but what else is new! Sleeping & pooping are both my nemesis LOL I have never been good at either and now post surgery both are worse! Gotta laugh! ha ha

Guess what I am having a mini OH Meet Up today!  Daizymom (Teena) has her 1 month follow up at the Centre we both belong too so I am meeting her an hour before her appt so we can chat!  So looking forward to it!!!

QOTD: Is anyone else annoyed with Mother Nature right now?  I am a born & raised Canadian, I am used to the season's changing, Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, repeat.  Now we can have almost all the seasons in one week for crying out loud.  We currently have about two feet of snow on the ground, its mild out and they are calling for snow today and getting super cold by tonight.  Really?  Then come the weekend we are supposed to get super mild its going up to 9C (49F)?  WTH????  I used to love the change of seasons, it was very specific, Winter was snow, Spring was rain, Summer was sun, Fall was cool and back to snow in Winter. Now its just meh, we get a ton of rain all year round and you can't tell what season you are in. Can you say Global Warming? Grrrrrrrrr

Time since surgery: 3 yrs + 3 months

B: 3 babybel swiss

L: take out from Middle Eastern place by work after I meet with Daizymom - 4oz of Tandoori chicken over salad greens + hot sauce

S: 2 babybel swiss + 1 cup of cantaloupe with cinnamon

S: 4 slices of Longo's oven roasted turkey breast + slice of swiss cheese roll ups + honey mustard, 1 cup of cantaloupe with cinnamon before bed

TOTALS: 930 calories, 99 protein, 40 carbs

V: PatchMD vitamin patches are on, got my new "auto ship" patches in the mail yesterday for next month, it was like Christmas, love those patches!

L: coffee all day and water with SF cranberry juice splashed in (I average 120 oz + of liquids a day)

E: 5km hike with the dogs after work

Have an awesome day everyone!  Be Fabulous today!

Good morning. I'm also good, but tired. :) LOL@ sleeping and pooping, these are the first two question hubby asks me about when I'm feeling meh. They seem to always be a problem!!

Qotd: I'm a Florida girl, born and raised in Tampa. We have 2 seasons, summer (with thunderstorms daily) and not summer. Not summer usually lasts a couple of months, it's mostly nice, sometimes there is an actual cold day. This year it was on a Tuesday. :)  I could never live anywhere that it snows on the regular, I think I'd actually die from the cold. I've been in Charleston for about 9 years and my family always asks me "how's the weather up there"... LOL It's almost identical to the weather down there, is my normal answer. It just isn't as predictable.

Today I have a 9 month follow-up with my surgeon. My last visit was 3 months ago, because "I'm doing so well, let's just keep doing what you're doing". I guess I am a good rule follower, i do what they tell me to do. BUT! This visit I need to get some answers. I have this random pain in my upper left abdomen, it's sorta crampy or something. It comes and goes, but it hurts like a demon trying to escape when it comes, and I can barely breath until it passes. It's not every day, but I'd love to get to the bottom of what's causing it.

I haven't fully planned my menu for the day, but I know what my proteins will be. He's a rough draft:

Coffee: Regular coffee with creamer (40, 0)

Breakfast: Siggi-vanilla (100, 14)

Snack: Premier Protein, Chocolate (160, 30)

Lunch: Boneless chicken breast (100, 24)

Snack:  Unknown

Dinner: London broil (160, 26)

Protein Shakes:

Calories: 520 Protein: 94 Carbs: 16

I had some random pains on my left side like kind of up around ribs. My surgeon ordered an ultrasound just to rule out any issues and since they found nothing we treated it was a gas and when it happens I chomp a few gas tablets and it seems to help. Just a thought-hope you find out what might be causing it.

I saw the PA today and she's pretty sure it's gas pain around the colon area. She suggested I try to be more regular, since I'm still struggling with finding a good dose of miralax that works without working too well.

Not that I was too worried, but I'm glad it's likely something with an easy fix.

I have/had those pains since after my gall baldder surgery... I really thought it was a hernia, but I never had it looked at, and when they went in to do my RNY, no one said anything about a hernia... and now that I think about it, it hasn't happened in a reallllllly long time.... I wonder if my RNY surgery moved something that made it all better??! LOL

Hope you get answers! I have my 9 month check up next week... I was thinking about it, and its so amazing to me that all of this change has happened in the same amount of time that my kids cooked inside of me... Lot's of changes can happen in 9 months!!!

QOTD:  Yep it is crazy here in NC.  We did have one good snow, but most of the time it has been going back in forth from the 70s back down to 40s and 50s.  Most of our winter days have been WAY above average!

Day 2 of the liquid diet was sooo much better than day 1.  TMI coming.....Day 1 I felt like I was starving, but then later in the day my period started and I always feel like a bottomless pit on that day so it made more sense.  Yesterday was much better but now I am already constipated so I have started adding miralax.  But I am down a couple of pounds this morning! :)

Menu- day 3 liquid diet

B:  hot chocolate protein shake

S: jello

S:  beef broth

L:  Protein shake-  chicken flavor

S: jello

S:  Premier protein shake

S:  SF popsicle

D:  cream of something soup?

S: jello

I should be more active on here today since I am more comfortable.  Yesterday I still had lunch with my coworkers, I just drank my soup while they ate.  I also went to family dinner at my Grandmother's and stuck to plan and it wasn't that bad seeing everyone eat!

Good morning!

QOTD: I got a kick out of Lykapal's description of Florida weather since I'm in Port Charlotte right now ****il Saturday).  New England weather used to be predictable as well, but we have certainly had odd winters especially with warm temperatures. Where I live on Cape Cod there wasn't much snow in the past, but we've had some nasty coastal storms which were worse than inland over the last 8 years we have had a home there. Global warming...

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese; English muffin and peanut butter

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Out to dinner for Valentines Day

S: protein chips, almonds, nut thins and hummus
