Good Day Menu Crew! How is everyone? I am great! One day to the weekend and one wee****il hubby and I go on vacation!

Accountability: stayed on plan yesterday, was busy in the evening so there was so snacking!

QOTD: Do you see faces or animal in random things? For example, do you see a cloud in the sky and see a bunny rabbit shape? Do you see a crack in the sidewalk and see a face smiling? Do you see fruit or veggies that have funny faces or look like someone? I do sometimes but not always. My hubby for example "sees" something in everything and I am always getting "babes look at this, do you see a face in my toast?" That kind of thing, its too funny. Below is two examples I found on the net, cool right?



3.8 yrs post op RNY - maintenance

B: vanilla PP

L: tuna/peppers/balsamic

S: 2 cheese strings & raspberries

D: hot turkey sausage + bbq sauce

S: 2 cheese strings + raspberries

TOTALS: 973 calories, 135 protein, 26 carbs

V: patches are on

L: 120 oz a day is my usual

E: 5km hike with the dogs if its not raining this evening

LOL (pictures). Vacations are great aren't they? Sometimes a little tiring, but everyone needs a break from daily routine.

I am only working a couple of hours this morning, then I have 2 vet appointments and one car has to service (30 minutes away so I'll have to wait for it). The check is supposed to come from the insurance company for the drowned car today so hopefully it will be here by 4. I need to get a cashiers check for the new car at the bank so I can pick the new car first thing tomorrow. I'll be glad when I'm done with the mechanics and I guess I'll get excited about the new car once I have it but I really haven't gotten there yet.

I just heard from a friend that she is going forward with WLS with surgery targeted for October! I know she is somewhat nervous so I'm encouraging her to research here on OH.

QOTD: I don't really see things like that unless someone else points it out. Not enough imagination or artistic thinking I guess!

So you may have posted this already and I missed it, but what kind of car are you getting? New cars are only fun if you really WANTED to buy one... not when you're forced to... hopefully you'll fall in love once you have it.

Good morning menu folks! We've got another scorcher here in MD with extreme Heat Index and Poor Air Quality alerts. I plan to huddle indoors as much as possible today. I will hit the treadmill for 50+ minutes today instead of my outdoor walk and tonight is also our deep water aerobics, so I will get in my exercise.

Accountability: yesterday's picnic was nice other than the heat. I had some BBQ chicken, a turkey burger, some mixed veg and some baby carrots. On the whole, not too bad. The only problem was that I decided to have a diet soda and it made me feel bloated. I should have stuck with water.

QOTD: I occasionally see other shapes in objects, but not very often. I think that on the whole I am just in too much of a hurry to observe things carefully.

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, ham

Snack: Grape protein shake

Lunch: TJ's chicken sausage

Snack: 2 ounces turkey breast

Dinner: Turkey, broccoli

Exercise: 50+ minutes on the treadmill, deep water aerobics

HW: 248+, SW (RNY: 2/28/17): 244, GW (10/17): 125; LW: 115; 45# regain (19-20); CW: 135.6; new goal: 135; Plastics: Ext mastopexy, Ext abdominoplasty-5/18/2018; diagnosed w/ gastroparesis 11/20.

Morning!

i didn't post yesterday, went to work early. Can't wait for this move to be over with!

accountability: stayed on plan. I'm starting to find a pattern of eating that works, when to eat my meals. I just need to stick with it, and not let being busy be an excuse. I was getting into a habit of eating sunflower seeds on the drive home from work, and it just adds too many unnecessary calories. If I time it to eat a snack/small meal around 11 and then again around 3, I'm fine until dinner. And not looking to eat in the car, or as soon as I walk through the door. I can take the time to prepare something.

Happy 2 year surgiversary to me! I can't believe how quickly it's gone. I looked back and I am 3.5 lbs heavier than I was on my 1 year surgiversary last year, so I am really going to work hard in the next month to get back there. But thinking back...when is there another time in my life when I have been only +3lbs heavier from year to year? Probably never, so I am taking that as a small win. Here is an obligatory before/after to celebrate the day.



Accountability: Um, didn't eat even one thing I had planned on, but mostly because I was busy and didn't actually eat much all day. And when I got home I was too hot and tired for real food so I just had a shake and a piece of cheese. Ended the day at about 800 calories and 81 protein. Not sure about carbs since I was eating around the carby parts of the wrap I had for lunch.

QOTD: Yes! I read somewhere that babies are hard wired to see faces so they can identify caregivers, so there is something evolutionary about why we see faces in inanimate objects. I had a shower curtain that used to freak me out because it had paisley prints that looked like ghost faces. LOL.

2 years post op!!! / 119.5 lbs today / Trying to lose 5lbs before 8.11.17

B: Grande iced with milk & sous vide egg bites

D: ?? maybe chicken? maybe another shake?

If yesterday is any indications, I will not have time for snacks today!
