Do you ever make Greek yogurt with your homemade? I found I can make a fantastic low calorie salad dressing with the whey from yogurt! Just add a little oil and balsamic vinegar, some crushed garlic and salt and pepper!

Good morning :)

I didn't post yesterday because I was away for yet another interview, but I have good news because I got an offer yesterday afternoon from them!! So that was a very quick turnaround. I start this new role on Monday and I'm very excited. It's more of a commute than I was hoping for, but I've done it before. Now I have to make good plans for food so I don't get off track. There are a ton of fast food places nearby, but I seriously doubt there is a healthy option among them.

Today I'm going to help out a friend with some stuff and then enjoying one of my last free days ;) lol.

Accountability: yesterday was the worst day I've had in a while. We went to a texmex restaurant for lunch (not my choice) and I got into the chips on the table. I also had some chocolate. Ugh. Back to it right away!!

QOTD: love food. Love all kinds of food - Indian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Greek, etc. We have a fairly decent selection here. A lot of them are harder post-op.

Post-op two years, six months.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - turkey sausage

Lunch - beef stew with Swiss chard

Snack - pepperoni, cheese curds

Dinner - probably more beef stew

Snack - protein shake

All water and vits.

Congrats on your successful interview and new job! How long will your commute be? Just plan carefully and you will do fine with food. It is the last minute food foraging that always gets me.

Thanks Janet!!

The commute is typically 40 minutes which I know isn't bad compared to many people, but the route is currently under major construction which backs up everyday so that can make it much longer. Also, I'm not used to commuting as I have basically been working from home for the last three years. Just something I stress about lol.

I had a longer commute most of my life, and I found that podcasts/audio books are the VERY BEST THING EVER!!! I also listened to NPR news and that made me the queen of current events, but was also often depressing...

Congrats on the new job!!! Planning your food and bringing it with you becomes second nature.

One of the things I do here at work is I bring in a few 'freezer treats' (pre-measured containers I throw in the freezer) and keep them in our freezer here at work... then if I forget to grab a meal one day I have them in there for back up, OR if I'm not in the mood for what I did bring, I can mix it up with those. They've really saved me from making poor excuses!

That's a good idea!! I will have to see if we have access to a fridge/freezer. I could also do some dried meats and cheese...
