morning weekenders!

Its going to be a glorious lazy morning around here! Then back to the folkfest this afternoon for another round! Didn't eat there last night, but will today. Looks like lots of wls friendly options too. Shawarma, there's a BBQ place. Well, I guess that's it really ahah.

qotd: todays question I guess is for those a little further along, post op.

Do you ever forget that you aren't mo or smo anymore?? I do. I realized, if I'm going to be going someplace where I'll be standing, I make sure to wear practical shoes. And I squeeze myself into a corner if someone sits next to me, so I don't crowd them.

And last night we were sitting in the grass and before I stood up, I did a run through in my head of how to best get up, with out drawing attention to myself. Oh Right. Just stand up!

And I catch myself walking like I'm nearly 400 pounds all the time. Like my centre of gravity is off. And I'm often standing like the grinch or something. Like my shoulders rolled forward and my hips pushed forward. This is proving to be a tricky one to fix...

accountability: good. a protein bar isn't the best option for supper, but i wasn't feeling anything else after a bazonkers Friday at work.

menu:

B: coffee and premier

L/D: no idea actually. But meats.

have a great Saturday everyone! Off to catch up on yesterday's posts!

Happy Saturday. Thanks everyone for the congratulations on my retirement news. I can't believe that in less than 2 months the weekend will be the same as a weekday!

QOTD: I still am surprised when I see myself in a store window or mirror. It's always an "Is that ME???" reaction inside. I also start to plan rests when we are walking around a lot (like yesterday at a boat show), but then am surprised that I don't need them (back and feet feel fine).

17.5 months post-op (maintenance). 37 work days to retirement.

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: 1/2 bunless cheeseburger

S: yogurt

Yes I had planned for the end of the year but EVERYONE in my department was given 60 day notice because all the job descriptions changed. They all have to apply for their jobs, though 2 of us are retiring (with severance). My last day is 11/13.

if you don't mind me asking..what is an eggbeater?

Egg beaters is an egg white mixture, often with yellow coloring added to make them look more like whole eggs. It's a fat free, high protein option, and since they're already cracked and wisked, they're easy to measure and add to foods.
