Hey guys. I have stopped posting as much on here, but I am still a silent participant :P But today I just had to share. Today was my first day stepping on the scale, and weighing in under 200 pounds (ended up coming in at 195 after a weekend away!) 195 meant that my ticker hit exactly 200 pounds lost (cheering noise) and my surgiversary is this Wednesday. :D

This experience is a roller coaster. I cannot cover all the ways. But I am so thankful, so happy, so healthy, and so glad I had this site to make it happen!

(btw I'm almost a year out, do I still have more time to lose? My loss crawled to about 5 pounds a month)

Happy Monday!

Congratulation. You now weigh less that you lost already. Way to go.

FYI: atone year out- your honeymoon may be over - but it is still up to you if you lose or gain, or maintain. 5lbs a month is a great loss. Last few pounds are often the hardest to get rid of.

FYI: at over 9 year post op RNY - I can lose weight if I eat less than my body need. It is not as easy as it was when I was fresh post op RNY - but it is doable.

in my years 3-4 post op I regained some weight (my eating and drinking was not ideal) and when I was ready to get serious again - I lost all my regain. It took me a while, and it was much harder - but it was possible.

You can totally still do it! First of all, you have done AWESOME already. WOW, you should be so proud. Starting at such a high BMI (as I did), it can be daunting to think about losing to 200 or less. But you totally can! I think the honeymoon period for me was more like 18 months than 12, but as Hala said, it's all about how you eat. You obviously know how to eat high protein and eat less calories than you require so you can definitely keep at it! You are rocking this!

Em you totally inspired me with your updates and menu posts when you started out. I am four years out and I think you are almost that also.

Just you posting the menu with your high protein and somewhat exotic foods.

You made me not afraid to try new things.

Cheering for you! Throwing confetti!

I too started (this past June) with more than 200 pounds to lose. I am so happy for you that you have lost so much in one year! Congratulations! I am sure that you will reach whatever weight you are aiming for. Well done!
