What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Good morning! Gotta make this quick today. I hate it when it is 5am and I am already "running late"--especially when I am not even working! Anyway, we are on our way to spend the week at my mom's house. We are installing new unfinished wood floors in her entire house! So at least I should be getting a lot of exercise this week!

QOTD: What movie do you wish had a sequel? I just saw the ad for the Incredibles 2 and I got super excited. It made me wonder what other movies deserve sequels. I wish there was a Princess Bride 2!

Ok, my menu is all kinds of up in the air today since we will be at Mom's house. I ran to the grocery store last night and grabbed my usual goodies to bring with us. I have eggs, deli meat, cheese, almonds, etc. I refuse to use this week as an excuse to eat crap, but I am not ready to pull together a full menu yet...

Hope you all have the best Tuesday, ever!

Good morning!! Have fun with the re-flooring, that sounds like an insane amount of work!

QOTD: I am still waiting for the next Goonies adventure. I'm sure it would be perfectly awful but I still want to know what happens next.

Accountability - My nurse cancelled my appt yesterday and since I was supposed to be fasting, I was not prepared so had to make due with some not the best yogurt from the cafeteria at work. Still came in on target so i guess it was good, just flexible!

B - Coffee + Premiere

S - rest of premiere

L - 2 oz mozzarella, 1 oz deli salami

D - TBD - I'm on the road again so will depend on what the hotel has, I think they have a cheese plate and a meat plate so likely one or the other with none of the carbs

Vitmins - done!

Exercise - I'll do some kind of work out at the hotel tonight; my 5 am flight this morning didn't give me enough time to get anything in yet today.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Good morning menu folks!

JB, how did your interviews go yesterday? Hoping that things are working out well. Have a great week at your Mom's. Enjoy working hard and getting things accomplished!

For those of you who are interested, I posted a PS update and pics of my abdomen on the PS forum. I am feeling discouraged about needing to keep my drain in a bit longer, especially since I generally feel good and want to become more active. Oh well, I am healing and grateful for that.

Menu: I am still getting full more quickly, so not able to eat as much as I was pre-PS. I am still losing weight even though I'm not exercising, so definitely focusing on lots of protein.

B1: coffee and vanilla Premier Protein shake

B2: ham, hard boiled egg

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, blueberries, cashews

Lunch: TJ's chicken sausages, sauerkraut (been craving this!)

Snack: turkey breast, apple, almonds

Dinner: not sure, maybe TJ's roast beef, cauliflower

Exercise: It is a nice day and I'd like to try walking a bit more around the neighborhood. I'll have to see how my body reacts though.

Hang in there! It's so frustrating to want to do more, and feel like you can, but the doctor/equipment keeps you from it! It's just a moment in time that you'll be through soon!

Thanks for the encouraging reminder. I use vigorous exercise to help cope with stress and as a relaxation and having weeks where I can't move very much isn't helping me cope... Working really hard to stay relaxed even though I want to be doing other things.

Have you tried any meditation? As kind of a joke, a few years ago, I attended a Meditation workshop up in Sedona -- it was a little whooo-woo for me but I found the actually meditation part to be useful! I try to do it every morning before i get out of bed and it helps with the stress (sometimes)

Swimming laps is very like meditation for me. I count my laps and only think about my breath and the water. It reminds me of my experiences with meditative breathing. I love how my body feels after hard exercise, but the laps are pure meditation for my mind.

I went to check out your pictures and I am so jealous here! You look amazing! If I had the money to have any plastic surgery I would do my tummy. My arms are bad too but the tummy skin is more upsetting to me personally. Thank heavens for shapewear so I can at least look nice dressed. Hang in there,Janet! Before you know it you'll be back to your exercise and looking AMAZING while you're doing it!

Thanks Karen! I am very happy with the results of both the abdomen and breasts. I feel like the surgery is the bow on the present of a new body. Even though I still have abdominal swelling my waist size is already down from surgery since the extra skin is gone. That said, it really is expensive for a good PS and while I would really like to have the sagging skin on my butt and inner thighs fixed, I'm not sure when or if that will happen.

May I ask what kind of shapewear you use? Does it work well?

You've mentioned that the extra skin on your arms bothers you, but I have to say that you have strong arms that are able to accomplish so much hard work and you should be proud of them anyway!
