menu:

B: coffee and premier

L: last night I grilled tandoori chicken, so probably some of that.

D: depends on where we end up...but I'm feeling fish.

have a good one!

Happy Saturday folks! I am up early to bake brownies and lemon bars for a brunch party today. Friends' of ours moved to a Senior community a few months ago and are now having a house warming. She requested that I bring baked goods, so I have to get baking.

She sent the menu and it is bagels, lox, cream cheese and other carby foods. I wrote to her and explained that I don't eat bagels, but that I'd bring some hard boiled eggs for extra protein. I love the lox! I'm not really tempted by the brownies but I may have a thin sliver of the lemon bars.

I had really hoped to take a kickboxing class this weekend and modify my movements, but it is still hurting and I noticed that it is still slightly swollen. I'm not sure whether I should go to the doctor to have it examined or still just limit my use of it.

QOTD: We've been to see Hotel Transylvania and Incredibles 2 recently. We hope to see Christopher Robin soon as well. We don't go to the theater very often, but stream Netflix and Amazon Prime mostly.

Menu:

B: ham

S: Cappuccino protein shake/iced coffee, chomps

L: lox, HB eggs, fruit

S: Buddig's turkey or salmon jerky, apple

Dinner: shrimp

Exercise: nothing planned but I might do something in my gym space

I'm sorry your toe is hampering your activity, but I think they can take a long time to heal. DH broke his once and it seemed like it bothered him for a really long time.

I have to remind myself that I don't heal as fast as I did 30 years ago. That said, I don't want to hurt anything by pushing too much.

Good morning! I literally went to bed last night at 7 pm. I guess I was tired. It is going to be a bit cooler today, maybe some rain. Yard work is on the agenda and probably the dump and recycles.

QOTD- I finished the Downton Abbey series yesterday. I am looking forward to the movie coming out. I would rather watch a movie at home. Last movie I watched in the theater was, I Feel Pretty.

Food for today-

Black coffee

B- 2 eggs with 1/2 c. cottage cheese

L-4 oz shredded chicken with green sauce

D- something on the grill. maybe a hamburger patty with onion and blue cheese

I need to go grocery shopping, but I am trying to hold out until Monday.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning! I'm heading over to my cousin's house so he can repair my car (check engine light came on this week but it was just a sensor). Last night DH and I went on a "constellation walk" at a nature preserve. The "walk" ended up being a chaotic scramble through pitch black woods, up and down slippery hills, and the path was uneven and rutted from tractor tires. Clutzy me was anxious the entire time. We got to the end, which was a huge clear area and I thought that's where we were meant to look at the stars--but I was wrong. He turned us around and we went back the same way! We ended up on an astronomy observation deck maybe 50 meters from where we started. I don't mind getting in the cardio, but I was NOT prepared for it--I was in cute "date" clothes. Came home drenched in sweat and bug spray from the muggy hike. Silver lining: I did see some of the meteors from the Perseid meteors. You can still watch for them for a couple more weeks but they peak this weekend. Find a dark place and look to the north!

Qotd: the last movie I saw was Wednesday night, we went to a special showing movie party for Talladega Nights. I love that movie!

breakfast: coffee and premier

lunch: up in the air, pending how long my car takes. I have leftover steak in the fridge

dinner: found a recipe for philly stuffed peppers I might try with my giant pepper :)

might have another protein snack in the evening. I've been reaching at least 80g a day, but the phone nurse mentioned my protein was lower than expected. She didn't go over all the numbers, I'll do that Wednesday, I just called her to arrange a re-draw for zinc. My original test wasn't done right.

Good morning menu friends! Lily and I have our 4 miles in and will do at least 1 more after supper. Plans today are not exciting--laundry and housework. Accountability yesterday was spot on with 10,125 steps and no extra bites. QOTD last movie I saw was Shooter this week on Directv. Haven't been to a movie theatre in 23 years. It was a good action filled movie. Post op 5 years 11 months and weight at 120.2 today. Heres the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz pulled pork 1/2 c green beans D 4 oz baked chicken 1/2 c mixed veggies S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter.
