Upper GI monday

Saw my surgeon today and he wants me to get an upper GI which I knew he would. Problem is he may not want to do a revision yet. I also have gall stones and he wants to remove the gall bladder and thinks that might help with the GERD. My thing is that I don't want to have to have the gallbladder surgery and then have to have the revision because it the gallbladder removal does not take care of the Gerd. Also I have Barrett's Esophagus which means having Gerd is bad for someone like me. I have a much higher chance of developing esophageal cancer if I have Barrett's Esophagus and Gerd. Keep your fingers crossed that after the upper G.I. my surgeon decides to go ahead and do the revision and gallbladder removal at the same time and doesn't make me wait.

I will be thinking about you, I would want both done at the same time too. Did you have any reflux issues before VSG? That is the one thing that concerns me most. I have the band will revise to VSG and i hope i will not develop issues with GERD and have to revise again. ~~Amy
