Hi all... I made it...I can barely believe it. As of yesterday, I had lost one hundred pounds! Holy Moses...it has taken 10 months...I was not one of the ones who rocketed to this wonderful club overnight. I have been steady at it. I know my loss on the scale was impacted by my dedication to exercise. Yes, I could see the significant results in the way my clothes fit (and fell off!) so I intellectually knew the trade-off was worth it, but I am still human enough to have pouted a little bit at the sometimes s...l...o...w showing on the scale. No matter...I have now achieved this remarkable thing and I'm darn proud of doing it. Yippee!! thanks for listening... Donna lap rny 3/3/05 262/162/maybe about 7 - 10 more!

what difference does it make if you got there in 6 months or 10 months, the point is "YOU DID GET THERE!!!!!!!!!!!" Congratulations on all your hard work. I am about ten pounds away from the century mark and I can hardly wait. I have been playing with the same ten pounds since before Thanksgiving. I have lost inches but the scale just keeps bouncing around. It has just recently dropped another two pounds, so hopefully it is finally ready to move again.

The last dozen or so pounds I have lost have taken forever. I knew it would happen (or at least I prayed very hard it would). But it required a whole lot of patience. And not once did I consider giving up on the exercise for a while ito try to kick it up a notch. The exercise is way too important. the good news about the last few pounds...while I know a pound is a pound...I can swear that these were very "heavy" ones. By that I mean, that as each one came off, you would swear it had the visible effect of 5 pounds. There were times, that I would go 2 weeks without losing an ounce and that's when I would get extreme compliments for having "ost so much more." Fitness and toning is an amazing thing. Keep up your good work and you, too, will see the effect and be very proud of yourself! Donna

Donna, congratulations I know this is a happy day for you. You are doing great, and I bet feel great. Now, if you would send me some of your exercise motivation I'd be happy, I sure do need my butt kicked in that department. I did find out that my protein, calcium and potassium are all low, doc says that's why I'm so tired again, almost as tired as I was at 3-4 weeks post-op, so we are working on that and hopefully soon I'll get the energy. Again, congratulations, I'm so happy for you. Hugs, Dana
