OMG! After all this time, you'd think I'd catch a clue! I am in so much pain right now, I could cry. I stopped at lunchtime foe a few pieces of sushi and I know better, but I just gobbled up three peices before I remembered that I usually strip off the rice first, but I ate them rice and all. UGH! My pouchy is grouchy and doesn't like rice (or me) at all! OUCH! I hope some newby will learn from my mistake...it will have ALMOST been worth it! XOXO Charlene

Girlfriend....what on earth are you thinking..... Now when I eat sushi, it takes me hours to eat the stuff, however I do allow myself the rice and all......OMG I just crave the stuff, I did not eat it pre-op and now I eat it all the time..... When I get full like that (what I call.....stitch line about to bust) I go lay down, (pray very hard) and end up falling asleep. I hope this passes, and that your pain lessens, and that your back to your perky self in no time!!! Love & Hugs sweetie Mel I hope you have a Happy 4th

our new Avocado California Roll sushi bar also has sashimi... same thing... sans the rice... it's pricey but yummy!

Wow. I feel like a pig. I can eat about 5 pieces of sushi. It is my absolute favorite thing to eat. I eat the rice and all. One time I tihink I even ate 6 . I felt full, but it was a good full. I must have a huge pouch. That scares me. Diana

~giggles~ Take it from a pre-op. 5-6 pieces of sushi was barely even a first BITE before your surgery, Diana, you are probably doing fine! Jezia

Charlene, I am so sorry you had that experience. I too am a huge sushi lover. I work 20 steps away from Sushi Zushi and it is wonderful. I hope you are feeling so much better. Ann
