Called the insurance company again and my records are still waiting to be reviewed and I was told it might take a while once they get to the review board. As you may or may not know I am on a time crunch and I wanted to have surgery and recover for two weeks before school starts. Don't think it will happen for me this summer. I can't live like this for another year until I try again so does anyone have any good diets I might be able to try. I know it is a temporary fix but this weight is getting very uncomfortable. I am going to try again next summer but I am going to start the whole process in January instead of March like I did this time. I had so many high hopes but I have kind of resigned myself to the fact that this just wasn't in the cards for me at this time. Any kind of diet tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks Leann

I was on the Lean Meats and Leafy Green Vegetables + 4 flintstones a day for 90 days and was loosing 10lbs a month. I nearly stayed with that instead of going through with surgery

Leann, Are you a teacher? Is that why you need to have your surgery before school starts? If so go to your work place and talk to your boss. I know it sounds hard, but you only need 1 - 2 weeks to recover. Yes, you will move slow for the next week or so, but it is so worth it. You will be happier and healthier. Please don't give up when your so close to your dream come true. The Lord always provides. Good Luck! Cozette

Leann- I am in the same boat. I am trying hard to be patient but it is tough. I am already starting to plan for the upcoming school year. I am going to get my classroom done starting this week and have already started on lesson plans. This way if I have to have surgery in late July, then at least all of my classroom stuff wll be done and I can at least sit through inservice without having to worry about setting up my room. Talk with your principal, mine has been really supportive. Email me if you want! -Yvonne

Don't give up on this surgery. If necessary get a sub for the first part of the year. I had my surgery last July 12 and had to be back to work around Aug 8th. Just go on up to your school and get your classroom all set up for the new year. That way even if you do have your surgery later in July or even the first part of August you will have your room all ready and that will be one less thing to worry about. I only had to spend one night in the hospital and went home the next day. My pain tolerance level is pretty high, but the surgery was alot easier than the three C-sections I had had earlier in my life. It is still doable (if there is such a word). You will feel so much better and will enjoy your students and teaching with so much extra energy. Hang in there. I will pray that the insurance will hurry up. It only took BCBS two weeks to process mine once they finally sent it all in. E-mail me if I can be of any help.
