in less than 2 weeks!

My brother (Dr Garth from big medicine) has done majority of my aftercare, but i plan to be in dallas for at least a few years and would like to find a surgeon there that i trust and can go to for fills (and unfills!).  I will talk with him about it, but I want an opinion from my trusty oh.com friends..

Who is the best band surgeon in Dallas?!

I dont have the band, but the BEST surgeon in Dallas has to be Dr. Wade Barker!    I am betting that 99% of his patients feel the same way as I do!   He is very skilled and really cares about all of us.  He is also very busy, so your time with him is sometimes limited.  His staff are all wonderful, and bend over backwards to help you in any way they can.      Put him on your list to talk to your brother about, and WELCOME TO TEXAS!!!   Brenda P.S.   I love Big Medicine !!

I have to agree.. I love Dr. Barker. But then again, most of us love our surgeon's and that is why we chose them. Best of luck in your search.. Oh and welcome to TEXAS

thanks!  i'm living in uptown (State-Thomas) and working at Children's Medical Center!  I am very much looking forward to the move.  I grew up in Houston and went to Univ of Texas at Austin for all 3 of my degrees, so I have been very out of place in Ohio - I'm a Texas girl!

I work in Uptown and live in Highland Park.  Are you familar with Dallas?  Please don't hesitate to ask if you need resources (md, grocery store, mall, whatever) Welcome.

Everyone loves their own surgeon!
I used Dr.James Davidson at Presbyterian. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Benavides is GREAT and he takes on patients from other docs(972-331-8100).  The fill center at the Surg Center Of Richardson is GREAT too.  The girls CARE and LISTEN!  They even watched my baby while I got a fill.  You can usually get in to get a fill within 2 days of calling too! (972-331-9500)  All fills are done under flouro. Glad you are moving to an area where you can get better band care!

I went to the seminar offered at Baylor and met with most of the surgical team.  They were impressive.  I also ready about Dr. Wade Barker and scheduled an appointment with him.  It was clear to me and my husband he was the right choice for me.  He is skilled - and that is what I care about the most.  Furtunately for me and his other patients, he is also detailed, competent, and highly thought of by his peers.  I did not select him on his looks (but I bet there are many who did, Ha, Ha  ).  I would highly suggest a consultation with him - you'll see what we are all taking about.  Best wishes to you.  I am also new to Dallas (from Washington DC area).  Janienne

I absolutely love Dr Barker.  He has a very busy office, however his staff is very professional and friendly.  They remember who you are, which is important to me, your not just another number.  Dr Barker has excellent bed side manners and I believe that he has a very sincere passion about helping others reach their weight loss success.  When he gave his personal story at his seminar of why he chose this career, I knew that he was the doctor for me. I wish you the best of luck in finding someone that you are comfortable with. Lindy
