Surgery next week & need support group in Austin

Hi all. I'm newer to OH. I'm having the RNY next week, June 28th. I live North of Austin. Anyone familiar with any support groups around here?

I know of one in Round Rock. You may want to go to the Community ( in the blue stripe above ) and then click on groups and see if there are any in your area. If you need information on the one in Round Rock....shoot me a PM and I will give you the phone number of the leader. Her computer is down and so the only way anyone can contact her is a text on her cell phone. Have a blessed day and congrats on your RNY next week.

I live in Cowtown But we do have Austin area people who I hope will chime in and like Viv said I think there is a listing under communites of support groups. We are glad you are here, feel free to chime in anytime. Also ask us anything! If we dont know an answer we can point you in a directon to find an answer. Congratulations and remember support groups, whether face to face or online, is one of the keys to using your tool!

It went great. I wrote a blog about it if you want to read. I was very impressed with how thorough Dr. Faulkenberry is....he held my life in his hands and he took it very seriously. I see him on the afternoon of your surgery for my follow-up. I'll have to ask him how you did....he probably can't tell me because of HIPPA, though. You'll do great. I am sure of it.
