Monday WLS Express-
Good morning everyone! Its been a while since I started the train so I thought I'd get us fired up this morning.
How was everyone's weekend? I have a sinus infection but I went to Urgent Care yesterday and got it nipped in the bud I believe. I'm headed to San Angelo with my boss and another co worker this morning. We'll be back Wed afternoon/early evening. Our SA office -which only has 5 full time, 1/2 time rehab assistant, and 1 counselor out of Odessa that comes once a month- has 2 1/2 openings right now. Its a mess down there. Nothing that reflects poorly on the office- 1 person got promoted to Austin, one transferred to Waco to be closer to family, and the 1/2 time assistant's husband was transferred to another base. So while I'm there I'll be helping out with office coverage as far as phones and such.

Family gathering went well Saturday except lunch morphed into an early supper. Nephew et al arrived in Tuscaloosa w/o incident yesterday afternoon for his orientation.

Had a good weekend, visited Dad yesterday. He has appointment next week about Colostomy reversal and repairing hernia that is getting really big so hoping his wound has healed enough to do the surgery.Work and staying cool is the plan for the day.

Surgery fixed our stomach and has given me a tool to use to help lose weight, but the surgery didn't fix the mindset of habits.

Good morning. I'm fixing Ben breakfast for his 21st birthday and then deep cleaning the kitchen and living room. We may o out for dinner, depending on whether or not he wants me to go to Aggieland with him tomorrow to turn in his apartment key because the lease is up. We will go out for his birthday there if I go with him.

Thank you! My youngest daughter (I have four) will graduate from A & M in December. My husband went there, and our third daughter graduated from there a few years ago, as well. It will be bittersweet letting go of the little studio apartment on Northgate that we have had for all these years.

Mike has gone to Austin for Xrays in prep for his 3rd back surgery on 8/8. (Again - it is not a surgery I agree with, but he wants it. I feel he is being lied to by the doctors and it expecting to be back in the same shape he was 10 years ago.)
I have to work on finishing up my summer school class. And, work with Austin to figure out what we need to buy him for his last semester in college before he heads out to the Air Force. (And have to do that w/o crying!)
And working election tomorrow......So - 13 1/2 hour work day tomorrow from a woman who is not used to working at all!

Hi Alissa - Safe travels today !!
Those sinus infections are NOT fun when its HOT outside too. !! I'm battling sinus' and allergies - about 1x a week - Tylenol Sinus severe congestion tabs knock it out for a week - so far no infections !!
its always good to feel "wanted" needed at work.....huh? lol
Not much on my agenda !! Just trying to stay cool - I was telling co-workers that I wished I could litterally work at home (WAH) during July and August because just getting out of the apartment takes alot of effort.
Yall stay hyderated and cool.......be careful out there !!

Sorry I'm so late hopping on the train today. My son's fiancee was hospitalized on friday night with what we thought was a flar up of her CVS and it turned out to be a bacteria infection and she also had a irritated bowel. I spent most of my day with her at the hospital in Lewisville yesterday. She was released today and is feeling some better. Praying you feel better soon Alissa. Praying for everyone in need. My AC went out today but thank GOD I got it repaired quickly. It was 85* in my house. It WASN'T fun at all. Have a great evening.
