Monday Back On Track -

I am not Courtney but I need the accountability.
The weekend was nothing special, I went shopping for new clothes because my pants and skirts are too big since my tummy tuck. General Larry Platt, doesn't care for the pants on the ground, and pants hanging down showing my goodies.

No Valentines for me. I keep hoping that Cupid would shoot me with an arrow and bring along that special someone.

I had 2 days of spinning, Sat and Sun.
Kicking off the new week with a session with my trainer, this morning.

Breakfast - egg whites w.red peppers/onions/mozzarella cheese/English muffin

Snack- Greek yogurt w/walnuts

Lunch- Salmon and salad

Dinner- Crab cake and Asparagus

Snack - maybe peanuts
Good Morning!  Was so busy on Friday scrambling to get ready for my trip to New York that I forgot to post, and so far it has been a lazy morning today.  Glad to hear things are well with you.  I did tons of walking this weekend, enjoyed shopping on Canal Street, got some great deals, even got my nose pierced.  I love it.

a.m. cuppas - working on it
not sure what my foods for the day will be.

Hope you all have a great one!!!!

You have been so successful. and here I sit still trying to reach my goal. I have reviewed your menu and see that you normally have 1 meal a day. This has worked for you, how long have you been doing this? Where do you purchase the protein pudding and does it gives you the satiety that we all are forever seeking? Your response will help a great deal.

Good afternoon!

Running a little behind, but I am here!  :)

Spent the weekend still trying to dig out -- now I am down to the ice pack...and boy, is that a workout in trying to get through it!  Spring can't come soon enough, as far as I am concerned!

Today has been a productive day, celebrating my sister's birthday, running errands and back home getting things taken care of here.  I hope everyone's enjoying the holiday.

Exercise:  Day off

Food:

B:  Muscle Milk Light RTD
L:  Santa Fe salad (lunch size) with dressing on the side -- ate about 1/4 salad...sssooo good!
S:  Muscle Milk Light RTD
D:  Probably Greek yogurt
S:  Protein pudding pie

Have a great evening, All!  :)

I saw Muscle Milk in the gracery store tongiht and thought I would get a bottle of it to try, it was $3.59 for a one serving bottle. I hope I build lots of muscles.
Hi, Ken:

Not sure if you are a member of Costco or not, but you can get a case of Muscle Milk Light there for something like $28 for the whole case.  It is really a good deal.  Hope that helps!  :)

Read the message that I sent to you about the protein pudding and your meals. It is under Courtney's name. I goofed.

Thanks for the compliment, but have to tell you that, like a lot of others, being in the maintenance phase, I am still learning and struggling at times.  It's all about a lifestyle change, and remembering that our WLS really is a tool -- there's a lot that goes into it.  BUT, I wouldn't change a thing!  :)

Regarding my meals and the protein pudding.  I don't tolerate meats well, and to be honest, can live without eating any anyway.  So, I tend to find my protein in other sources, to include protein supplements and things like Greek yogurt.  I don't really have "meals," per say, but eat every couple of hours while striving for at least 100g of protein per day, and keeping carbs and calories on the lower side.  If I am eating out, I will concentrate on protein based soups, salads, things with cheeses, etc.  It seems to work relatively well for me.  As far as the pudding:  I bought some from a couple of the bariatic supply sites, but have now figured out that I can make my own with Hood Carb Countdown milk, Jello sugar free, fat free pudding mixes and unflavored Unjury protein mix.  It tastes just like regular pudding, but has a lot more bang for your buck with the protein.

I hope this helps.  Hang in there -- you are doing great, and will continue to, I am sure!  :)

Thank you for sharing the information. It is an ongoing journey and I have done well but it is a day to day struggle. I read an article yesterday about being an emotional eater. I have to keep in mind that the food may comfort me for a short time but the problem will remain. I have to break the cycle because I've come too far to turn around.
Raven

Hi, Raven:

I, too, am an emotional eater.  Stress does me in.  What I have found is if I can find another way to deal with the stress or the emotions, I forget about food.  For me, it is a matter of keeping myself busy.

Keep at it -- you've got the right mindset, and that is half the battle!  :)
