I could read these responses and get discouraged.  I'm 5 1/2 months out and have ONLY lost about 53# since surgery.  ONLY!!!  In the same amount of time on WW I had lost a whopping 20# and then yo-yo'd for about a year and had only lost 22# from 12/08 through 5/10!!!  Doesn't that put things in perspective????

I'm very happy w/ my 2# per week average.  I hope to make goal by my 62nd birthday (02/28) or by my surgiversary (05/15).

Can't wait to hear how you do on your weigh in.  I'm SO impressed that you don't weigh yourself.
HW -- 255.8#;  WW/pre-op lost 22.6#; CW -- 152.2#; GW 140#; 103.6# GONE FOREVER!

Hope you don't mind my asking, but why did you have to be re-sleeved?

I was wondering why you had the re-sleeve.  98 lbs is a good amount of weight loss.

I totally agree. 98 lbs is a good amount of weight loss. But...

My SLEEVE surgery was almost 4 yrs ago. Surgery day weight was 308 lbs.
There was no bougie used, not oversewn. I had a gastrograffin x-ray done and my stomach was small, but it looked more like an hourglass and less like a banana. The stomach left, was comparable to a 60F bougie stomach(!!!!). My starting weight was 310 lbs. I lost 125 lbs within a year. I kept it off for 1.5 years. At 2.5 yrs out of surgery, I started regain. I regained 86 lbs within 8 months. I could eat way more!!!! Almost like I used to eat before surgery. I thought it was all my fault, that all the bad old habits returned and that I'm a total failure. On Jan/2010 I decide to find out what the problem was. So, I had a second gastrograffin x-ray (barium) and I found out that my stomach was a huge hourglass, which could hold more than 20 ounces.
That's why my NEW surgeon and I, decided to have a RE-SLEEVE surgery (33F bougie, oversewn).
I've lost 94 lbs so far, with a total loss of 130 lbs (sleeve + resleeve).

Sleeve surgery weight: 308 lbs Re-Sleeve surgery weight: 272 lbs

Why did you have to have a resleeve if you don't mind me asking?
