Sue, DO NOT BE BUMMED!!!  65# in 6 months is great!  Slow and steady still gets us to goal!

BTW, I too have a Bichon.  Aren't they the best little dogs?

Thanks Judith! I was feeling down because my weight loss has slowed down so much and to read that others have lost 100 lbs in 6 months did not make me feel too good about things. But, you are right...slow and steady wins the race. And actually, it is not a race...I am confident we will all get there! 

RE: Bichons....yes they really are the best little doggies! And the cutest too!!! I think we need to start an OH Bichon club because I've met several folks here who have Bichons! ;-) OH member Superspouse has a really cute avatar with 2 little cuties!

Sue, today is my 6 month and I have lost 70lbs. I lost the last 5lbs in this last wee****ep on thinking I am losing slow, but I have lost 70lbs in 6 months. I have never ever been able to say that before. At least we are still losing! I think you are doing great! We both are doing great!  We will both get to our goal weights eventually and we will have to join the maintenance group!  The people who have lost more weight probably started at higher weights, don't compare yourself to others. We all are different! Good luck to you and keep up the great work!

We owned two Bichons Maggie Moo and Sparky (Sparky is our Pet therapy dog. He is my little man. We love Bichons!!!!

Awwwwwww....you are SO lucky to have two!!! I'd have 3 or 4 if my husband would let me! ha! Such little loves!!!

I'm almost at 6 months (in about two weeks) and I've lost 90 pounds

I will be six months in about 6 days and I am done 60. Half of me wants to bummed but oh well. I have been doing my best and that is what counts. And my BMI is at 27.4 - I really can't complain. We are all different.

6 months - 91 lbs

...and now at 8 months - 109.6

At six months this is what I wrote in my profile:

-  Weight:  165 lbs,  down 65 lbs in six months 
-  Total inches lost in 8 places:  43 inches in six months
-  BMI :  22.4,  down 8.4 in six months
