Hippie Skirts and Closet Shopping

In a couple weeks my husband and I are off for the weekend to see Phish play at the Gorge. I don't have much in the way of summer clothes, so I decided to spring for a couple of cute new hippie girl skirts (this one and this one... and I'm totally buying this dress as soon as I'm not limited to the plus size section!). They arrived today and although I was nervous that they wouldn't quite fit, I was thrilled that both of them do.

As I was taking the one I'd just tried on off, it occurred to me that the jeans that I had pulled out of my closet reserves back on 6/13 were feeling pretty loose. I wondered if I should try on some of those 5 pairs that didn't quite fit yet?

I opened the bin, pulled out all 5 pairs and gave them a go... three of them fit well enough to earn a spot in my weekly rotation, one I could wear if I wanted to, but is borderline unflatteringly tight so I'm going to hold off and the other one I can button, but definitely can't wear yet.

Before surgery, I was wearing a 28. Right now I'm sitting here in a size 22.. woo hoo!!! :)

I will say that buying cute clothes could quickly become a motivator for me... this could get (financially) dangerous ;}.

The closet and garage bins are turning into my favorite store! I love the skirts and that dress will be so cool! Last night I pulled out asll of the too bigs and put in the now they fit and soon they'll fits. I woould keep closet shopping and go to more concerts!

Maybe soon... I want to get a decent progression of before/after pics established first. I'm having my husband take one on the 23rd of each month (I had surgery on 5/23), so maybe after Saturday if I see enough of a difference ;).

I love closet shopping!! I like shopping other people closets too, raided my sisters the other day. Buying clothes got a little out of hand for me for a minute, but since I have rediscoved goodwill and the salvation army, It's all sorts of awesome, and now that Im not in the plus size corner, there are sooooo many choices!

Last May I went to a festival and I was excited to buy a Hippy skirt- that wasnt a plus size! :) I am looking forward to my next festival in September because I wanna SHOP and get me all those cute hippy dresses I could never fit into. It's going to feel so nice to be able to shop in ALL the clothing booths this year!

Way to go... That is so fantastic, let see some pictures.. I too can't wait to wear cute things.. I don't have many bins of clothes because I wear a uniform daily, I don't get to dress much other than sweats or T shorts.

You are definitely an inspiration to me...
