Having a hard time on my mushy food period

I had my sleeve done 4 weeks ago this coming Tuesday and I was doing great until last week Thursday. According to my doctor when I visited him this past Friday he thinks that I have gastritis and I had to go back to liquid protein, but I have been so nauseated I cant stand myself. I have been having a hard time keeping myself hidrated because of the nausea (I am taking my nausea pills), also the doctor increased my stomack pills from 20mg to 30 mg and twice a day and I am also taking a liquid medication every 3 hours to help soothe my stomach. Has anyone gone through this  any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you so much,
Diana

My nutritionist suggests "resting" your stomach when it gets REALLY irritated.  For 1 or 2 days just sip watered down non-acidic fruit juice (Like apple).  Sip, sip, sip.  You can also do some caffine free tea, and sf popsycles, but avoid anything that my challenge the tummy.  Get in all the hydration that you can that way.  After the rest, you should be more ready to handle the protein stuff - but TAKE IT SLOW!!!

Good luck!

Sorry you are having such a tough time.  One thing I forgot - Gaterade or Powerade (the sf ones) really help a lot.  Since you are feeling so drained, try them - the electrolytes might help with that!

I wanted to have some Gatorade but the nutritionist didn't even suggested. I do need electrolytes and I though Gatorade would be ideal but I think they want me to keep under 5 grams of sugar and gatorade has more than that, maybe I can diluted so it is not as bad. I will try it and hopefully it won't make it worst. Thanks.

Gatorade has a SF version (G2 I think) and Powerade has Powerade Zero.  The gatorade has a little more carbs per serving than the powerade, but with your nausea, just do whatever works for you!  You may want to water it down a little still, the flavor may not sit well at first on your queezy tummy!

Nausea is a close enemy of mine too. The doc put me on two Zofran for daytime and Phenagren at night the combination has helped tremendiously. I wish I could say I could eat because that part I'm not doing so well.
