Protein shakes and vitamins

Hi, when did you start your protein shakes and what vitamins have been recommended by your doctor. Thanks

I started protein shakes 2 days post-op at the same time I started vitamins. I drank Muscle Milk Light ready to drink protein shakes. The shakes were a bit thinck and sweet so I mixed 8 oz. of cold water to the 8.5 oz. serving. It takes a while to finish the shake since we have restriction and can only sip post-op but I genrally finished 3 per day to meet my protein goals.

My doctors plan calls for a Multivitamin, B12 vitamin and Calcium vitamin.

Daily I take the following;

2 Gummy Vites Multivitamin
2 Fiber Gummies
1 B12 sublingual

I haven't taken any Calcium supplements since I consume a lot of cheese and milk.
My vitamin levels have been excellent.

I started protein shakes on day 3 when I went on full liquids. It took a while to drink them (still takes me much longer than a similar amount of water/crystal light) but I tolerated them very well. I still drink them as I have a very tiny tummy and tend toward low protein in my labs.

Vitamins:

Bariatric Advantage capsules - dose is 3x a day, but my labs have been fabulous on 2x
Now Calcium Citrate powder - mixed in protein shakes
Building Blocks chewable Iron

B12 sublingual a couple times a week

I also take fiber for regularity but don't consider it a supplement. If I get enough fiber from food (I track all my food) I don't bother with the supplements.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
