I know everyone's experience varies, but if this reassures you at all -- I was surprised by how little pain I experienced post-surgery.  The most discomfort was in my throat for the first few days and that eased every single day.  I had some soreness from the incisions but never felt acute pain.  The pain meds in the hospital took care of that.  When I returned home, I'd feel some soreness occasionally and would take a dose of the pain meds.  I don't think I ever took more than one dose a day, usually at night.  That only was necessary for a few days.

Hopefully you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was!

Good luck to all of you!
Mary

Hi Arathi - I had mine done in Bangalore on 6 Feb - am now happily and safely at home. I had mine done at Apollo with Saurabh Misra and was really happy with the medical and nursing care. Good luck! Jo
