My sleeve surgery is Wednesday so I'm in the final days of this old life. I'm anxious in many different ways. I'm also starving and don't feel so great energy wise. I'm nervous about surgery and anesthesia and afraid I haven't been able to shrink my liver. It's a BIG week friends! No pun intended lol! Really glad I found this forum!

I was sleeved last Monday and had the same fears.  You will be fine.  I'm already down 12lbs!!  I will keep you in my prayers.

Ladies, I'm around your dates also. I'm having the same fears, I'm not so hungry, but worried and ready to get this over with...Changes are a Coming for all of us.

Thinking of you - I know it will go great.  By the way, my brother had RNY with your surgeon in December, and it went really well.  He loved Dr. Roller!   Can't wait to see your progress!

My date is the same is yours, I am also ready and a little anxious, but can't wait, I also have to have a hiatial hernia repair too, does anyone know is it alot of pain after with both these surgeries at onceand how long were you in the hospital???? 

My surgery is also Wednesday and feel the same way!!!!

Oh by the way GOOD LUCK WEDNESDAY!!!! We will be in the same boat, my surgery is scheduled for 9:00 am if all goes well, I wouldn't worry too much about the liver shrinking I'm sure you will be fine.

 I'm at 9:45. Let's try and post Wednesday evening to see how we did! Do u think we'll be out of it? Lol!

I won't be able to post until I get home my computer is at home and I can't find my ipod, as far as being out it, a good dose of the morphine drip should do pretty good. I will post when I get home, take care and good luck!!

I can't speak about the hungry/energy thing because I didn't do the preop diet only the one day liquids the day before surgery. As far as the anxiety and last minutes before the big day, I feel your pain.

This was my first surgery and, from my experience, we make a bigger deal out of it than it really is. Just try to stay calm and keep your thoughts positive. Remember your reasons for doing this and the life you hope to have as a result of VSG. Everything will be just fine.

P.S: Don't worry about shrinking your liver enough. I didn't do a preop diet and I actually gained the week before surgery and my doctor said everything on the inside look great! Just focus on positivity and do the best you can. :o)
