I am so upset..called the doctors office yesterday to find out when my paperwork was submitted to the insurance company for approval only to be told IT HAS NOT BEEN SUBMITTED!  I calmly asked why not and was told that the psychologist has not submitted her report as yet and that is the last paperwork that they need. The psychologist is in the same office as everyone else; I saw her on February 8 along with the surgeon and the nutritionist. She was not covered by my insurance so I had to pay her $150 upfront and I won't get that money back because I have not met my out of network deductible yet.

Now I called this morning to speak with her to try and find out what the hold up is and I was told "oh Dr. *** is not in the office this week"... are you freaking kidding me? She had from Feb 8 to do a simple report, now because of her my paperwork cannot be submitted to the insurance company until whenever she is back and decide to write her report. . I have been stressed about this whole thing and this just made everything worse.

If I didn't know better I would say we have the same Doctor. LOL Mine waited until the Wed before my Monday surgery and I was denied, now I am in for the fight of my life I feel like.

Try to relax and know that everything happens for a reason... although we may never know what that reason is. It will all work out. Maybe call and ask to speak to the doctor, thats what I did and he was VERY concerned that is staff was slacking.

Hi Kellsters...I left a message for the coordinator who is responsible for getting all the paperwork and submitting it to the insurance company. If I don't hear from her by 2pm New York time I definately will be calling back and speaking with whomever I have to so that things can get moving.

The same thing happened to me! $150 for it, plus 3 $15 copays. I called the Surgeons office to see if my authorization came through yet and they said oh we dont have your pych eval. I call the office and say "we did last week..." i was like they dont have t.."oh our fax machine must not like their fax machine!! I was like really?!? They say that nothing thats worth anything is easy, so this really must be worth it! ;)

 Hi CaseyB, its not like she had to fax it or mail it. Her office is right next to the coordinators! People can be so inconsiderate...dont they think we have enough stress waiting on the insurance company? I hope this is really worth it. Thanks CaseyB!
