Queasy First Thing in A.M. - Dehydration?

I advanced to pureed/soft foods last weekend.  I've been diligent about keeping up with my 64 to 100 oz of fluids every day.   For the last three days I've been really queasy and blah when I first get up in the morning.  (No, I'm not pregnant.  LOL)

I'm not sure if the Pepcid actually helps if if I just naturally start feeling better a few hours.  It's rough to feel lousy when I need to get going off to work, etc.

In trying to figure it out, I came up with a couple of possibilities for the cause.  Do any of these sound plausible and have you experienced anything similar?

1) Even though I sip sip sip all day up to around 10:30 at night, could I be dehydrating overnight while I sleep?
2) In my excitement over advancing to pureed/soft foods, I haven't eaten too much at one time, but I introduced several different foods over the weekend like a scrambled egg, some soft cheeses, hummus.  After six weeks of liquids did I ask my stomach to accept too many types of food?  Should I have spread out the introduction of different foods?

What do you think?

Thanks in advance,
Mary

I'm not at your stage yet, but my nut said to try just one new food a day to see what will work and won't. I did try hummus the other day and it made me sick to my stomach.

Could be the fat from the hummus, cheese, and egg.

Could be the acid, can you take your Pepcid at night?

I keep a bottle of water on my night stand and take sips when I wake up during the night.

I felt the same way and it went away at some point.

Hang in there!

I can get my fluids in during the day and still wake up feeling dry mouthed during the night. I keep a water bottle on my nightstand to sip on if I wake up to use to the restroom or check on the kids. Every little sip helps!
Shouldn't be from dehydration. I only get in 32oz a day, so you are doing pretty good. I believe it is the acid moving on an empty stomach. Scrambled egg**** me like a rock the first day I had it, and made me very nautious. Best thing is to introduce only one new food a day. Always keep in mind that an irritated pouch, stays irritated for 12 to 24 hours.

Also check your vitamins. Make sure you are taking your iron at night. Iron and some other vitamins need to be taking hours before or after other medication, so your tummy might be getting bothered by that too.
