Buffalo Wings - Healthy style (pic)

 So I'm continuing my lunch today post from last week.  I like taking pictures of my food.  Somehow it just makes me feel accountable.  I may not be up to Frisco's talent in either picture taking or food preperation but these are easy for me and my family likes them too!


 

I'm from Syracuse, Ny originally and Buffalo wings with blue cheese are a staple (especially with pizza).  Now the blue cheese dressing I couldn't do because I can't stand the lower fat ones and the full fat ones are just too many calories.  I know that some of you will say it is sacriledge to have ranch with buffalo wings but this is the best I could come up with.  

This is Wegmans pre-cooked (frozen so not a ton of sodium) chicken breast strips, 3oz has 80 calories but this is 2oz shown.  Then it is 1/4 cup of Fage 0% Greek yogurt with 1/2 tsp. of ranch dressing seasoning.

You need a smaller plate!  That looks good.  I love buffalo chicken wings!
 It's actually a really small plate!  I'll put a ruler next to it next time!

 Rockin' job on the improvisation!  They look sooooo amazing!  I have been craving buffalo wings in the worst way...  And yes!  It is sacreligious to have them without blue cheese but I understand your reasoning so I'll let it slide.  LMAO.  

So far as plates...I use one of my 4 year old daughter's sectioned purple hippo plates.  LOL

Oh yummy!!!  I will definitely have to fix and soon!!  I am not from NY, so I can freely admit, I LOVE wings with ranch dressing!!

how about greek yogurt, blue cheese sprinkles and a little milk to thin it a bit? 
 I'd have to look at how much the blue cheese would add.  But I will look into it.  With what I had in the kitchen today I think it turned out ok.  And the Fage cuts the heat since we can no longer drink while eating.

How many meals do you eat a day?  If it's 6 then you're at the right calorie count per meal but if it's 3 or 4 you could up the protein and cals per and the cheese would help with that. I also make the Buffalo chicken wing salad which is delish.  i make a big bowl of it so i always have something spicy to grab.  Grabbing something ready is important because by the time I'm feeling hunger i have no time to prepare.
 I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks.  One of those snacks is a protein shake.  This is a little low on calories (I'm usually closer to 150-200) BUT I can't even finish all of it because of the dense protein.
