Could this be a stall...already? Or just body adjusting?

Hey everyone!  I have a question for all of you who have "been there, done that"!!!  I was sleeved April 23rd and have been losing 1 to 1.5lbs per day since surgery.  The past 2 days I have only lost 2 ounces.  I am consuming 70-75grams protein, 500-550 calories, 50-60ounces of water/fluids, and less than 20 carbs.  I weigh 288 currently and was 307 day of surgery.

I am SUPER happy with my weight loss already, but just wondering if I have hit a stall already or is my body just adjusting to the rapid weight loss?  And what defines a "stall" - is it not losing for days or weeks?!?!

Thanks everyone and happy Saturday :)

Stalls happen to everyone. At three weeks it seems all of us had one, but it is usually your body adjusting to the surgery. Your healing it is trying to figure out where it's food storage container is and why it has had mostly liquids for the past few weeks. After it regulates itself out it will start to lose again, but this time in the process is frustrating and it will happen again and again thru the journey, but it is normal.

I would define a stall as not losing for weeks or months, but my major one wasn't a "stall it was a readjustment. I was still losing body fat, cloths still fit better, but the scales didn't move. Lean mass is heavier and takes up less space then fat so even though the scales weren't moving I was improving. Scales can be deceptive as most just measure pounds. A true body analysis tell the whole story.

I have stopped losing weight three times so far and for weeks at a time, but my Dr. said he is happy with my progress and it will naturally continue when ready.

Good luck.
Remember  it's bariactric surgery, not brain surgery! You need to get your head in the game!!!!
I am going through the same thing.  I was sleeved on 4/18 and have stayed the same for the past four days.  I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing.
Keep doing what doctor ordered. It will come. It happened to me

I just posted almost the same thing, except I had RNY on 4/11, lost 21 pounds in the first week and now the last two weeks NOTHING! I got on the scale today and gained 3 pounds. I am so frustrated....

Sleeved 4/17, lost 20 lbs the first 10 days then not an ounce in the last 8days. I'm
trying to be patient but I really loved the affirmation of the scale going down.

How do you get in less than 20 carbs drinking protein shakes with milk? I am using fat free regular milk and can't get my carbs that low..

I found that my sleeve does NOT like dairy, so I had to switch to Almond Milk.  I use the unsweetened vanilla almond milk and has only 1 carb in it :)

Would you look for the "three week stall" in the search box up on top of the page.  You will see that what you are going through is totally normal and to be expected.  You are doing great.  No worries, you are right on schedule, just keep doing what you are doing.  Take care.

maybe the increase lost was water weight from the iv and what your body had in storage, 2 oz is still losing but do expect to stall we all do
