I'm finally on the losers bench! Yay!!  So i'm 6 days post op trying to read everything but i've started experiencing this pain under my sternum on the left side and towards my back.  I just don't think it's gas as though i've walked and walked.  How do you know if your stomach hasn't woken up somebody mentioned that on another board.  I hear gurggling and all kind of noises, doesn't that mean it's work up?  Just nervous and thinking the worst.

It may still be gas.  I had surgery 2 days before you, and I am still burping like a man. . lol

I still have some gas 2 weeks out.  I have had those sharp pains.

I wouldn't worry too much it probably is gas. As for the gurgling I still gurgle once in a while. It happens when I'm laying down. Don't worry yourself sick your tummy is still new and tender.

it is quite likely still post op pain. it can take up to the full 6 weeks for all pain to get better. Are you tking the pain med provided?

Hey MissKTeach! How did surgery in Mexico go? What was your experience like? Just wanted to tell you i had the VERY SAME left side pain for a little while after surgery and felt it radiate toward my back too. It eventually subsided somewhere around 3 weeks-4 wees out. I hope the pain has gone away! Big hugs to you!
