Rewarded myself:)

This weekend I hit 70 lbs lost:) for some reason I can't figure out how to update my starting weight. The dr office had me 3 lbs heavier than I thought. I am 4 1/2 months out. I rewarded myself with a new bicycle!! I hadn't had a bicycle in years!! For once I am not embarrassed to be seen in public!

Way to go!!! I plan on getting a bike when I get to 220... Found a real cute folding bike

HOORAY!!  That is on my "to do" list for the summer...get a bike!!  Maybe for my birthday at the end of August???

Congrats to you!

The little rewards along the way are great to have continued motivation.

What sort of bike did you buy? I bought myself a purple Electra Townie last year and I love it, even though riding involves both riding and weight lifting. (darned panniculus)

I bought a red Townie last summer, I love it. Traded in the orange one as it only had 7 speeds.

I bought a "cruiser". It has a wider seat and reminds me of a vintage style. I LOVE it! For the first time ever I can ride bikes with my kids! If I could figure out how to post pictures I would! Lol

I hadn't been on a bike in 30 years, so I wobbled a lot at first, but it's so much fun! I agree about the flat foot technology. I don't think I could ride a regular bike yet, but I can go a couple of kilimetres on this one.

hell ya, good for you!   Way to reward yourself with something that promotes health instead of adding calories to your diet!
