10 weeks (and pics)

Yesterday was my 10 weeks post op.   I'm feeling great!  Things are going very well.  Still dealing with some hunger issues at night (mostly when watching TV).  Not sure if it's real hunger or head hunger??

This was the best decision I've ever made.

No more diabetes.  No more insulin shots.  No more high blood pressure!!!  Yay me!!!

Well look at you handsome! Well done!
Thanks!  You're too kind!!
Lookin good, wtg!!!
I can see a big difference in your face and neck. You're looking pretty damn good!

I get the hunger issues in the evening too. I find if I eat a couple ounces of meat before I sit down to watch TV I dont have that issue. It's a trick I've used since early on.
I cook meat just to keep it in the fridge for a "fill up"

Hope that helps, and congrats!

I love it !  That's a great idea!!!  Thanks for the tip!
Great job Steve .. the new photo serves you well.

You ARE looking good. You know, if it was commonplace for you to snack while you watched tv in the evenings before surgery, then it is most likely the head hunger. I'm still pre-op, but that would be my guess. I used to sit outside and read while I smoked my daily cigarette after dinner, then I quit smoking a few years ago and every single time I read, still to this day, I want a cigarette.

Thanks.  That's great advice!!!  I appreciate it!
Thats awesome!! You look great!! When I start getting hungry at night I force myself to go to bed!!

 Woohoo! Looking terrific!

You are looking good!!! Thanks for sharing! Very inspiring... Have a question for you. How long were you diabetic and how long before surgery had you been injecting insulin? I am diabetic type 2 for 16 years and been injecting insulin for around 8 or 9 years now... I also take oral med for it too.. I am praying along with my pcp that I will be lucky and get off a lot of my meds after surgery and weight loss...

I was diabetic for 10 years. On medication for nine years. 36 hours after surgery diabetes was in remission. Even if the surgery doesn't cure your diabetes, it will definitely help improve it.  You could probably get off medication too. Or just take metformin.
Yay for you! That is great!!! I really hope this helps me also! Def going to work really hard to make that a reality for me! Thanks again!
