Plateau?????

Fellow Gastric Sleeve Patients,
I need some advice. I had WLS on November 23, 2011. At my highest weight last July, I was 286lbs. At time of surgery, I was 263. For the past couple of months, I have been fluctuating between 198-195 lbs. Have I plateaued, or have I reached my final weight loss? It feels like I'm getting hungrier more often throughout the day and find myself snacking a little more. Is it also normal to crave sugar? What are some sweet sugar-free items that seem to cut the cravings? I have been working out for the past couple of weeks at a gym doing weight lifting and cardio. Hoping this will help. Are there any suggestions that people have to help me get back on track? Thanks for your assitance!

We were sleeved the same day! My highest was 264, surgery day 239, I am stuck now at 180. The only way I can get rid of the munchies or cravings is to do under 25 gr carbs. If I go above that I am constantly looking for something crunchy(chips) or sweet(nilla wafers). If I get snacky, I pick up protein first, or drink a cup of hot Ungury chicken. I have to start pushing my water, I have gotten complaicent and that slows the loss down too. Hang in there.

Been stuck for weeks! Up two pounds down 2pounds but I'm not stressing. We have worked hard to change our behavior and eating habits! I have upped my water and exercise, less carbs, more carbs,
More protein etc. When my body is ready the weight will start coming off again. Write down your meals and track the calories and carbs see if that helps.

I was stuck for almost 2 months without a single pound of weight loss... I increased my protein to 175 grams a day, started drinking water like it was my job (about a gallon a day), bought a Fitbit and started walking about 4 miles a day.  Since then, I have lost almost 25 pounds in the last month!

Highest WGT-295, Surgery WGT-295, Goal WGT-215 - 80LB LOST in 8 months!

How in the you know what do you get in 175 grams of protein.  Do you use an IV? Anyway, I will try  to up my protein and water since I have gone up 2 down 2 for the last 4 months.

Yes, please tell us how you're getting all that protein in! I had my sleeve done in January 2011. My weight at surgery was 266. I've been at or around 190 for nearly six months now. I fell a year ago and broke some bones in my back and a rib so can't really exercise. Right now I have a "boot" on my leg because of a stress fracture in my toe - can't really even walk much. I got so sick of protein shakes that I came close to throwing them up. I drank Isopure+ but now have the same reaction. I hate water but found a drink called Ice that has no carbs, no calories, no anything but good flavor.  How do you get back on track? I have the same problem with cravings. I work at home and sit on the computer and phone 40 hours a week so am pretty inactive. Feeling good about what I have lost but pretty discouraged about losing more. Any tips or encouragement would be appreciated. I have my 40th h.s. reunion in Sept!
