Hi there keep researching different doctors for self pay !! has anyone gone to this doc?

Yes. A lot of people have used Dr Aceves, myself included. My surgery was 16 March 2012, so in 5 days it will be my 4 month surgiversary - 70lbs down. I go see him the beginning of August for my first follow up :)

Dr. A is highly recommended on this site. I did a year of reasearch and chose him. Flew from Canada to San Diego and the hospital shuttle picked me up there. Surgery is performed in an acutal hospital 4 stories fully equipped. I had an excellent experience there and would go back again.

Lots of people have used him. I had an exemplary experience with fantastic care and have had very good results. My surgery was Feb 2010 so I am almost 2 1/2 years out, at goal and enjoying fantastic health, able to work out pretty intensely, and seeing continued improvement in the droopy skin left after my weight loss. Really could not be happier, and his office has been very responsive when I have contacted them with questions.

 Just sleeved 2 weeks and 3 days ago by the good Dr. Aceves.  It was a great experience, and I have no reservations recommending him and his team.  The hospital was great, as was the hotel the night before surgery (Crown Plaza).

Another Aceves fan here! I have no regrets. My experience was better with him than my husband's was with an American surgeon, for the same procedure.
