Today I went for the nuclear stress test my surgeon wanted done before surgery. WOW !!! First they attach a bunch of electrodes all over your chest and neck. Then they inject a med thru I.V. to make your heart feel like you just ran a bunch of miles. The effect is immediate, I got short of breath, all sweaty, light headed. The good thing is it only lasts a couple minutes. Then when you think you just might survive that part, you have to climb up on a table about a foot wide, get lifted up in the air and a big giant camera thing that surrounds you gets pulled in right on top of you. Did I mention that you have to lie flat with your arms held above your head for 30 minutes without moving ?? Yikes !! I was really worried about the EGD I have to get next week, but I'm thinking that's gonna be a walk in the park compared to this.
Anyway, just the EGD, some blood work and my Dr.'s letter and I'm all set. Can't wait for a surgery date !!
