I'm in the process of deciding between 2 surgeons for the gastric sleeve surgery.  Does anyone have any information or experience with Dr. Daniel J. Scott gastric surgeon from UT Southwestern in Dallas Texas?

I don't have any info on that physician, however i have had 2 WLS's. Lapband in 2007 by Dr. Joseph Cribbins and Sleeve 1 month ago by Dr. Todd McCarty. I am in the medical field and know many physicians in Dallas including Dr. Barker. Hands down Dr. McCarty is the best. He is dedicated to his patients success and cares deeply about where we are physically and mentally. I know him personally and I would place all of my family in his care and have.

What was your experience with Dr. Cribbins?  He is the other surgeon I'm considering for sleeve surgery.

What has been your experience with the lapband versus sleeve?

Hi Molly. My experience with Dr. Cribbins was good. He was friendly and answered all my questioned post-op, however not much after care. And if and when I called with questioned I always got a medical assistant. But he was a good doctor. I choose the Lapband because it was less invasive. I lost over a hundred pounds with hard work but after almost 5 yrs it stopped assisting me with weight loss. I had 3.9cc in a 4cc band with little restriction. Then I found out that lapbands only last 10yrs or so, so I decided to do a revision while my insurance was good.

 No experience with your docs...however my surgery was done y dr. Nick Nicholson. My understanding I that he is the best in this. Field.
