Thanks for sharing this experience - I also had my gall bladder out years before surgery, so I assumed I would be immune from gallstones.  Hopefully I won't find out about this first-hand, but if I do, I'll be thankful I had read your post today.

I had my gallbladder out after an attack of pancreatitis 10 months after VSG. My surgeon said that I had a gallstone blocking the pancreatic duct. It only lasted about 8 hours before I passed it (thank goodness, I was hurting a lot) but my surgeon did warn me that removing the gallbladder wouldn't necessarily mean not having any more attacks. Sorry it happened to you. Hope the stent keeps those bad boys at bay.
